🔒GROUP PRIVATE COMMENT THREADS (Private Posts)

  • This is the killer feature which led to creating Octopii!

  • Your friends’ comments are private to you and your friend — and anyone added to the thread.🤩

  • With Private Comment Threads, getting 5 comments is like striking up 5 private conversations — instead of 5 random friends all talking in the same room!

📍LOCATION-BASED FEEDS (Public Posts)

  • Use Map View to filter posts by location!

  • Want to check out what people are up to in Paris? Seattle? How about Mumbai or Tokyo?

  • Worried about sharing your location? Post locations are slightly randomized for your safety.

💯 "IRL" BADGES

  • All photos and videos taken with the Octopii app earn an "irl" badge so you know it's not AI or filters!

🔒 ACCOUNT PRIVACY

  • By default, Octopii won't allow anyone to know you're on the app — even if they know your phone number or email — SMS/QR invites, unless you say otherwise!



🕵️ ACTIVITY PRIVACY

  • By default, your activity is not broadcasted to anyone — no one will know, or see, you reacted or commented on a non-public post — even mutual friends, unless you say otherwise!


👥 FRIEND PRIVACY

  • You choose if you show up in other people’s friends’ lists — who you’re friends with is 100% private to you.
